The establishment of San Antonio Maria Claret Parish, Zamboanga City originally rooted from a humble beginning of Claret Seminary Chapel in 1965. People started to join liturgical celebrations at the Claret Seminary Chapel and the number of Mass-attenders increased as time passed by. So, the establishment of San Antonio Maria Claret Parish, Zamboanga City took place in 1974. The first parish priest was Fr. Agapito Fererro, CMF under the pastoral care of Archbishop Francisco Raval Cruces, DD.
MISSION
We, the people of God in the Parish of San Antonio Maria Claret Parish, to realize God’s kingdom, commit ourselves to:
– Build and Strengthen Basic Ecclesial Communities where the Word of God is lived in faith, hope, and service;
– A dialogue of Life with other religions/ beliefs; justice, peace, and integrity of Creation and harmonious relationships among all members.
