Quezon City, Philippines. Today, the 16th of July, the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province, one with the entire Claretian Congregation, celebrated the 175th Foundation Anniversary in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Quezon City with the Perpetual Profession of 5 scholastics, namely: Sch. Paul Mark Layugan, CMF (Philippines), Sch. Joselito MacJhon Buendever, CMF (Philippines), Sch. Dominic Aung San Htay, CMF (Myanmar), Sch. Ha Va Kinh, CMF (Vietnam), and Sch. Kent Niño Aurit, CMF (Philippines). Together with them, 16 other Claretian Scholastics also renewed their vows.
Fr. Elias Ayuban, Jr. CMF, the provincial superior, reminded not only the perpetualist and renewalist but the entire Claretian family that what we celebrated today is not a consequence of luck but of God’s blessing: that we are not lucky but rather blessed. And also, all of us should continue to burn with God’s love because a missionary that does not burn is a burnt-out missionary.
The celebration ended with a simple agapé and presentations from different Claretian communities and fraternal greetings from several Claretians across the globe. Let the love of Christ impels us!
