Quezon City, Philippines – The Claretian Missionaries of the Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province have convened their XVI Provincial Chapter at the Claret Retreat House in Quezon City. The Chapter presided over by Fr. Matthew Vattamattam, CMF, Superior General, began today, January 22, 2025, and is scheduled to conclude on January 29, 2025.
The first day of the Chapter commenced with a Bible Enthronement. Normal chapter procedures followed, including the election of Fr. Mauricio Ulep, CMF, as the Chapter Secretary. The delegates also received a video message from the former Provincial Superior and now Bishop of Cubao, Bishop Elias L. Ayuban, Jr., CMF, DD.
The morning activities transitioned into a recollection with a talk delivered by Fr. Samuel Canilang, CMF, centered on “Living the Provincial Chapter as a Synodal Event.” In the afternoon, Fr. Matthew Vattamattam, CMF, shared a reflection on the topic “The Conversion of Relationships,” which was followed by group sharing sessions that allowed delegates to engage in meaningful conversations.
The day concluded with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Matthew Vattamattam, CMF, alongside the Provincial Council, marking a spirit-filled beginning to the Provincial Chapter.
