January 26, 2025. The fifth day began with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by Morning Prayer. To initiate the “Dreaming” stage of the Provincial Chapter, the Drafting Committee for the Chapter Document Declarations presented their work. The committee was composed of Fr. Sammy Canilang, CMF, Fr. Kevin Rendor, CMF, and Fr. Gilbert Quenano, CMF. Following this, Fr. General gave a presentation on “Dreams,” after which the delegates were divided into groups to envision and articulate the Province’s aspirations for the next six years. Before the lunch break, Fr. General also shared the results of the Sondeo for the next provincial government.
In the afternoon, Fr. General presented on the role of a Major Superior and engaged the delegates in reflecting on the qualities they seek in the next Provincial Superior.
After the afternoon break, the delegates gathered before the Blessed Sacrament to lift up to the Lord the outcome of the election. Following this moment of prayer, the election took place, and Fr. Amador C. Tumbaga, CMF, was reelected as the Provincial Superior of the Province for the next six years. He immediately took his Oath of Fidelity and Profession of Faith.
The day concluded with a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr. Eduardo Apungan, CMF, in celebration of his birthday, with Fr. Larry Miranda, CMF, and Fr. Dennis Tamayo, CMF, as co-presiders.
