Quezon City, Philippines. On March 29, 2025, Claretian Communications Foundation, Inc. and The Cause for the Canonization of Blessed Ivan Merz, Inc. launched the book entitled, “We Give You Praise: A Catechesis on the Eucharistic Prayer IV” by award-winning author, Dr. Dave Ceasar F. Dela Cruz, OP at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Quezon City. His first book, “More Precious than Gold: A Catechesis on the Veneration of Saints and Their Relics” won Best Book in Liturgy at the 2013 Cardinal Sin Catholic Book Awards.
During the book launch, Dr. Dave shared how Pope Francis’ Apostolic Letter “Desiderio Desideravi” inspired him to write this book to help ordained ministers and the Catholic Faithful to deepen their devotion to the Eucharist and to rediscover the beauty and richness of the Eucharistic Prayer IV.
The book launch was preceded by a liturgical seminar on “The Eucharistic Prayers: Their Significance in Our Pilgrimage of Hope” with Rev. Fr. Paulo Gamboa, Jr., OCD as the Speaker. Fr. Paulo presented the history and theology of the mass, focusing on the Eucharistic Prayers. He highlighted its importance in developing our Eucharistic spirituality as we traverse our daily lives with hearts full of hope.
