In light of the recent appointment of Fr. Elias L. Ayuban Jr., CMF, then Provincial Superior, as the Diocese of Cubao’s second bishop, Fr. Amador C. Tumbaga, CMF, who is currently the Provincial Vicar, will assume the new role as Provincial Superior of Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province while the Province is preparing for its forthcoming XVI Provincial Chapter in January 2025.
Fr. Amador C. Tumbaga, CMF was born on March 30, 1980 to Alejandro Tumbaga and Carmen Concha in Lusacan, Tiaong, Quezon Province. He made his First Profession on May 5, 2002 in Bunguiao, Zamboanga City; his Perpetual Profession on July 16, 2007 in Quezon City and was ordained Priest on December 8, 2007. During the XV Provincial Chapter held in January 2019, Fr. Ama was elected as the Prefect of Spirituality and appointed Provincial Vicar.
Prior to his appointment as the Vicar of the Province, Fr. Ama was assigned for many years to the formation centers as Formator, Prefect of Students and Novice Master. He was also appointed as Local Econome. He also taught philosophy in the seminary for a couple of years. He also served as the Prefect of Formation and the Provincial Secretary of the then-Philippine Province. Presently, Fr. Ama is the Vice Postulator for the cause of martyrdom for Fr. Rhoel Gallardo. We are confident in his ability to lead our community during this time of transition. Please join us in offering our prayers and support as he assumes his new role.
